Subaru and Mt. Hood Launch First-Ever Subaru Degree Program

Subaru has been continually gaining popularity in the United States. Its vehicles, known for their safety, dependability, and all-wheel-drive, have truly resonated with an ever-growing population of American drivers. However, selling vehicles is not Subaru’s only goal; in fact, the company is dedicated to helping people and communities throughout the country.

In partnership with Mt. Hood Community College, Subaru of America, Inc. is expanding its image into education. Now, for the first time ever, students can earn a degree in Subaru automotive technology. The college, located in Gresham, Oregon, will be offering the degree starting this fall semester, marking the first time this major has been offered in the country.

As Subaru’s popularity rose in the United States, and therefore the demand for Subaru automotive technicians, the company realized the need for formal education. This associate degree will fully prepare students for a career at Subaru retailers, with on-site training and opportunities for advancement upon graduation.

For students of Mt. Hood Community College, a career in Subaru automotive technology makes a lot of sense. In addition to the company’s growing popularity, the Pacific Northwest specifically has a large community of Subaru enthusiasts; the mountains and trails of the region are perfect for the Subaru fan. Together Subaru and Mt. Hood Community College are working together to give students prosperous careers in Subaru automotive technology.
