In 2018, Subaru of America found overwhelming success with their Subaru Loves Pets auto show adoption events. Beginning this year and extending into 2020, Subaru looks to expand their good work to over 40 National Auto Shows all throughout the country.

As a continuation of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, the manufacturer will partner with local animal shelters in cities hosting auto shows with the intent to finding permanent, loving homes to thousands of dogs.

“At Subaru, we look forward to opportunities that help our furry friends in need and we want to return the unconditional love they show us each day,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Subaru of America, Inc. “We saw great success with our pet adoption events last year, so we wanted to not only sustain, but build upon that momentum to help even more pets unite with a loving lifetime companion.”

As part of this event, attendees at participating auto shows will have the opportunity to interact with adoptable pets at designated Subaru Loves Pets play areas. Following some quality time, these attendees will have the opportunity to adopt the animal and take home their forever pet that very same day.

Each auto show booth will also house a special Subaru pet tag engraving station. Attendees who are not looking to adopt are encouraged to personalize a pet tag for their own furry friends waiting at home after a donation to the partner shelter. All proceeds given to the exhibit will go directly to animals at each participating shelter.

The upcoming auto show adoption events are part of the popular Subaru Loves Pets initiative, a cause that is dedicated to improving the safety, well-being, and lives of animals in communities nationwide. The commitment is part of the overall Subaru Love Promise philanthropic campaign.

Adoption events at the Las Vegas Motor Trend Auto Show and the Central Florida Auto Show already kicked off the effort this past September. Similar adoption events will continue now through June 2020 and will culminate at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
