Subaru Increases Auto Show Pet Adoptions For 2019


In 2018, Subaru of America found overwhelming success with their Subaru Loves Pets auto show adoption events. Beginning this year and extending into 2020, Subaru looks to expand their good work to over 40 National Auto Shows all throughout the country. 


As a continuation of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, the manufacturer will partner with local animal shelters in cities hosting auto shows with the intent to finding permanent, loving homes to thousands of dogs.

Subaru Sells Its 10-Millionth Vehicle in the United States


Earlier this week, Subaru of America proudly announced the sale of its 10-millionth vehicle in the United States., a brand new 2019 Subaru Impreza. Following the sale, a surprise celebration followed.


“It took us 41 years to achieve our first five million sales, and just over 10 years to achieve the next five million,” said Thomas J. Doll, the President and CEO for Subaru of America. “Accomplishing this milestone reflects our commitment to providing customers with vehicles made to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and dependability.”

Subaru Announces Best Sales Month in Company History


According to Subaru of America Inc., August 2019 marks the best-ever sales month in company history. Subaru of America reported record-breaking August sales of 70,039 vehicles, shattering December 2018’s former record of 64,541 individual sales. 


These numbers are part of a continuing upward trend of 93 consecutive months of sales increases. Year-to-date, Subaru has recorded 473,670 vehicle sales (also a record), a 6.1 percent increase compared to last year’s numbers during the same period.

Subaru’s Launch Control to Debut On Amazon Prime For Seventh Season


Subaru’s award-winning motorsports documentary series Launch Control will be returning for a seventh season. But this time, it’s coming to Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service! 


This past week, Subaru of America announced a new partnership with Amazon that will allow the manufacturer to stream their popular series on Prime Video. The seventh season will kick-off with an initial four-episode release starting on August 28. Following that, the series will stream on both Prime Video and YouTube biweekly.

Subaru and AAAS to Bring Award-Winning Science Books to Students Yet Again


For the last five years, Subaru of America Inc. has been partnering with the American Association for the Advancement of Science to sponsor an education initiative that brings award-winning science books to classrooms across the U.S.


Recently, Subaru has announced that yet again, Subaru retailers nationwide will team-up with AAAS’s 120,000 members to give kids in every corner of the country access to quality educational materials. The Subaru Loves Learning initiative goes hand in hand with the Subaru Love Promise concept, and has donated over 187,000 science books alongside AAAS since 2015.

Could the Subaru BRZ tS Make a Return?

 

In 2018 Subaru released the special edition BRZ tS, tS meaning “tuned by STI.” While it wasn’t exactly an STI — we would have gone gaga for that — it was a powerful little coupe. The limited edition BRZ featured extensive performance upgrades and precision tuning that was all based on the decades of STI motorsports experience. It was the best-handling BRZ ever released.
