Driving Conditions
The driving conditions in Alaska aren't the easiest or the kindest. Subaru is an astute choice in the state because of its snow covered streets. If you look at one of the pictures on Kilcher's Facebook page you will realize how much he loves the brand. From a distance it looks like he has chopped the top right off an old Subaru Legacy and has made it into a convertible.
He is not just saying so for attention. Kilcher is a loyal Subaru owner and knows they are reliable and comfortable vehicles that can handle the worst conditions Mother Nature can dish out.
Crosstrek
He likes this brand to the extent that he's agreed to act in a commercial for them. He owns the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek already because of its amazing all-wheel drive technology which helps him go wherever he needs to on the frozen streets of the Alaskan tundra. Another reason he likes his new car is because it is a marvelous multi-purpose vehicle for his expanding family. It was in September of 2015 that he announced that his wife had given birth to a beautiful baby girl they named Sparrow Rose. They already have a son at home, Findley.
Safety Ratings
One other reason why he likes the car brand so much is because of its excellent safety ratings which he is confident will help keep his family safe if they were ever involved in a crash. Subaru's the only automobile manufacturer who has IIHS Top Safety Picks for each and every model for the last 7 years. Even the new Crosstrek, which he just purchased, has received a safety award recently in Japan.
Family
There is a TV spot which aired on Discovery Channel recently where Eivin spoke about how he loves to enjoy nature along with his son and discover places which are completely untouched so that they can enjoy them together. Eivin wants the next generation of America to be able to enjoy all these natural things and calls the land their legacy.
Next Generation
This is another reason for him liking the brand so much. Subaru has a knack for attracting the next generation who all lead very active lifestyles and love being in the outdoors. Many of them are also involved with environmental conservation and the brand tries encouraging people to take out time so that they can visit the national parks all around the country and experience the outdoors in all its splendor the way they are supposed to.
The Commercial
At the end of the commercial, how Subaru has been working towards a more sustainable future for the national parks has been explained. This project has been called the Subaru Zero Landfill Initiative. Eivin, too, believes how important it is to preserve as much of nature as they possibly can for the future generations. Even in the commercial, he explains how he wants to introduce his son to the beauty that is nature and teach him to let it remain untouched as much as he possibly can.
Well Mother Nature is precious but that does not mean that oil companies should not be able to harvest oil shale or oil. The pipelines are elevated so the animals can walk underneath and Alaska is so huge, there is only oil in a tiny section of it. Jobs can be produced and America can be stronger which is better for Mother Nature and the world. This means more business for Subaru and cheaper energy for people that need more money in their pocket.
The star drives a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek because he believes the brand shares similar values. He also says that you should buy a Subaru too. There is nothing wrong with that!
