When checking your tire alignment, there are three things our mechanics look for:
Cambers
Cambers are the angle at which your tires face inward or outward when viewed from the front of your car. Too much tilt in one direction indicates improper alignment and requires adjustment. Contributing factors include worn bearings, ball joints, and other wheel-suspension parts.
Toe
Toe or toe alignment is how your tires turn inward or outward when viewed from above. This is similar to a camber alignment but different when looking down at your car - if you're driving in the Princeton area and the wheels are not aligned properly, this can lead to drifting or other issues.
Caster
The angle of your casters helps the overall balance in your steering, stability, and cornering. More specifically, it's the angle of your steering axis when viewed from the side of your vehicle. As a Lumberton local, If your axis is not straight and tilted toward the driver or the front of the vehicle, a service appointment is necessary.
