

Being more than a car company has always been a crucial part of the way that Subaru operates. Giving back to the community and finding ways to create positive change in the world are woven into the deepest parts of the organization, and this week those efforts have been recognized by Forbes. The magazine recently announced their Forbes’ Best Brands for Social Impact 2023 list, and Subaru was among the top companies listed, and the number one brand in the automotive category.
Forbes worked together with HundredX to create this list, both of them contributing their efforts to survey more than 100,000 consumers about their thoughts on certain brands. They rated the 300 total brand respondents in the categories of overall brand values and trust, social stances, sustainability, and community support. Nearly 4 million ratings ended up being collected for more than 2,000 unique brands. The brands that ended up making the list were the most admired for the good they do for the environment, for social issues, and for their local communities. Subaru placed in the top six in all four of the categories in the survey.
Respondent feedback to the Forbes Best Brands for Social Impact list indicated that many of them felt Subaru vehicles were reliable, excellent vehicles that are built to last, but for Subaru, that simply isn’t enough. The automaker is driven by a need to go above and beyond, providing more than just great cars. The Subaru Love Promise ties together the core values of that ambition in the pillars of Earth, Care, Help, Learning, and Pets, plus the Subaru Share the Love Event, which helps to encourage love and philanthropy across a diverse group of partners and causes including The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and the National Park Foundation.
