Every 2022 Forester is powered with an impressive 2.5-liter flat-four-cylinder engine that churns out 182 horsepower with a max towing capacity of 1500 pounds. The vehicle's continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) routes the engine's power to Subaru's select all-wheel-drive system. With excellent handling and responsive driving, the Forester's ride is smooth and refined, with snappy acceleration and rugged performance.
