The 2016 Subaru BRZ Hyperblue is certainly an experience worth writing home about. And considering its price, you will be more than pleasantly surprised to know it can keep up with some of its expensive competition.

The car comes in a new, unique, and vibrant color called "HyperBlue" and the word hyper here is quite the understatement. The paint makes the car pop out like nothing else. You might even be able to see it from space – well not if you were somehow driving over water but that is impossible. If you were driving in the southwest part of the US, with that desert yellow surrounding contrast, it would certainly stand out.

Subaru says that they have only made five hundred of these cars, and it is a lot of fun to pull one of these into a parking lot and have everyone staring at you. This is something that is never going to get old because of the unique color and the hold that the Subaru brand has on the market.

Handling

In terms of handling, the Subaru BRZ 2016 hardly takes a wrong step. You can go into the curves at a high speed and feel like you are on the rails instead of four 17-inch black alloy wheels that it comes with.

One of the main reasons for this excellent handling from the Japanese automobile giant is the low center of gravity. This certainly is one of its main attributes. Subaru is known for developing boxer style engines that also helps in reducing friction and improving performance. No other automobile company is currently employing this technology.

Engine and Transmission

You will have to keep the 200 hp of the BRZ high if you want to get a real punch out of your four cylinder engine. If they had chosen anything more powerful for this speedster than this, things would have been considerably different, and you may have even overlooked other aspects this car comes with. But the car is centrally powered in the right proportion, and those annoyances are nowhere to be found.

The car comes with a 6-speed manual gear which is pretty easy to work with. It's not a big deal on a short or a long trip; you can take it wherever you want to go. This is especially noticeable when you start the car after a cold night. Most cars would stutter but not the BRZ 2016.

Interior

There is enough room for two adults in the cabin. The backseat is nothing more than a storage compartment. The Alcantara trimmed bucket seats have a snug and supportive feeling once you get into them and let the leather do its thing.

Subaru has also upgraded and changed the infotainment and instrument cluster in this car, and the 6.2-inch touchscreen is quite responsive. The car also comes with Bluetooth audio, a USB port, auxiliary ports, a CD player, satellite radio, and a rear camera system.

The Subaru BRZ 2016 is going to win many awards in terms of mileage with 22 mpg and 30 mpg in the city and on the highway, respectively but it is sharp and quick. It is affordable, which is one of the main reasons why it is going to sell many of these cars off the dealer’s parking lot. There are four trim lines to choose from, and even the top configuration is glaringly affordable.

The BRZ has been designed to be an affordable fun sports car, and that's all it is. It is perfect for a twenty-something-year-old looking for a modestly priced car that goes fast and will make people turn their heads. It is easy to park too!
