They chose to name the vehicle the Impreza Sedan Concept. Now, it is all ready to enter the United States market and had debuted at the well acclaimed LA Auto Show which started on November 20th and lasted until November 29th.
As per Yahoo News, the car is only going to be made available towards the end of 2016 and is going to be marketed as their model for 2017.
Future prospects
Michael McHale, the Director of Corporate Communications for Subaru of America, had said during the press conference of the company at the LA Auto Show, this year that the Subaru Impreza Sedan Concept is a very strong hint at the direction in which the brand will be going in the near future.

It had also been revealed that this company was also projecting that their next generation of compact cars, sedans, and hatchbacks are going to chart the way for a brand new breed of vehicles from Subaru. Subaru is going the Fast and Furious route!
Specifications
Based on the press release by the company, this concept car is going to measure 14.9 feet or 4.55 meters as far as length is concerned, 4.7 feet or 1.45 meters as far as height is concerned and 5.8 feet or 1.78 meters as far as width is concerned. This is going to make the car a lot shorter as well as lower when compared to the existing models on the market today. The wheelbase of this new car is at 105.1 inches which is almost an inch longer than the model currently on the market.
This new model also boasts of a very unique aerodynamic design which is made even more effective because of its rear spoiler. Its concept features as well as its solid design elements make it feel like a quality beyond its class.
Impreza has the ability to seat 5 people very comfortably (but only one person will be in it when it is in its NASCAR race, OK, that was a joke) and also has a hexagon grille, a wing which is shaped like the ones on aircrafts, C-shaped combination lamps, and hawk eye headlights.
The car has been finished with a Ruby Red Metallic set off which has gloss black accents. It has some fascia treatments which are equally dramatic and help create some solid, 3D forms.
Apart from the very stylish exterior, there is a lot of power packed under the hood of this beast as well. It is supposed to be running on the re-engineered engine for the Impreza/STI/WRX 2 liters, 4 cylinders, and 148 brake horse power.
Even though Subaru hasn't explained any details whatsoever regarding the interiors of this car, the fact that it is going to be reflecting a brand new contemporary character and is going to have quite a few, and new advanced comfort and convenience features apart from driver assist touches.
This latest model is supposed to help boost the growth of the sales for Subaru which has already gone up by 14.3% this year as compared to the figures for 2014.
The Impreza is going to be manufactured at their factory in Lafayette, Indiana. Manufacturing will begin in the middle of 2016.
So if you are planning to get your hands on this car when it comes, you better start saving right away. Fast and Furious fans may beat you to it!
