The first commercial is titled Phone Navigation and puts a unique spin on the whole problem of poor voice recognition by smartphones. Then there is Doggie Bag which has the Barkley’s having to deal with an amateur valet. There is windshield wiper which has the dogs coping with a bulldog in the car ahead of them while bad hair day depicts a rough trip for them to the beauty salon. There is not a shortage of creativity at all in their marketing firm! These commercials seem much more creative than the Beyoncé half time show at the Super Bowl that is for sure.

The last advertisement is called puppy and shows a puppy trying to get some sleep. With new ads like this almost every single year, Subaru has clearly got an idea of what their customers like as already indicated. Why not put a commercial like this though during the Super Bowl!?

Barkley’s

This new, "Dog Tested. Dog Approved." advertising from Subaru celebrates their love for pets. Some may remember the Barkley’s from their 2013 ad campaign. In the newest spot, the Barkley’s are taking on everything from driving around town in their Subaru to dealing with other canine drivers and getting their pups to sleep.

What is cuter than a puppy sleeping?

Commercials

Puppy: This commercial has a tired puppy in the backseat who needs a nighttime drive to fall asleep. So the Barkley's father has to take his pup for a drive around the block in their Subaru Legacy.

Phone navigation: Let's face it, the voice assistant on most smartphone's isn't exactly smart. It does not help when you only have one word commands either. The Barkley’s are driving their Legacy on the back roads and run into a sort of language barrier when they turn to voice recognition for some help.

Doggie bag: On occasion, Subaru's go anywhere symmetrical AWD can be extremely seductive. The Barkley’s go out for dinner at a fancy restaurant but all their valet sees is the potential for an exciting off-road adventure.

Windshield wiper: The Barkley’s run into some odd localized weather while driving their Subaru Legacy. Luckily, their Subaru comes with much more than simple symmetrical AWD for handling any sudden downpours and storms. It does not matter what Mother Nature tosses at this car, the cabin remains dry and comfortable while the weather outside is violent and ugly.

Bad hair day: The Barkley's dad is being helpful by picking up the mom from her day at the salon in their Subaru Forester. He takes in her fresh look but unfortunately for him, golden Labradors aren't capable of maintaining a poker face.

All of these spots are available on Subaru's YouTube channel for you to view.

Pets

Subaru as well as its customers both have an intense connection with pets. 8 out of every 10 Subaru owners have pets too to be stated again. The brand continues supporting the various initiatives and causes which they care about. With these new campaigns, they have put the Barkley's in the driver's seat to try and celebrate their shared love.

Emoji

To support this campaign, Subaru has also created a custom Barkley emoji on Twitter which is going to auto populate whenever users tweet #Dog Approved in order for pet lovers from everywhere to share their love for their pets and Subaru with these family and friends. After all, an owner never had a pet that was not reliable, talked back to them, treated them rudely, talked behind their back, defiled their name, and so on.

Subaru Loves Pets

This campaign of Subaru's builds on their much larger initiative, "Subaru Loves Pets." They continue supporting this initiative by working with the ASPCA to sponsor national adoption programs and even hosted the Pet Hall of Fame in 2015.
