Fall is upon us, and it looks like it will be an even-tempered one. The days are beautiful, and the leaves are equally so. Though it may not be conventional for this season, a road trip may be in order. Hitting the road with your Subaru will take the stress away.
A lot of people avoid road trips or vacations due to time and monetary constraints. Money and time shouldn’t hold you back from making memories on a stellar autumn getaway. In fact, you don’t have to sacrifice either this season. There are several great destinations that you can get to on a single tank of gas. That means that you can save time and money, while still enjoying a weekend away.

Boston, Massachusetts
This city is rife with history and opportunity. Boston makes a great destination as it has some of the nation’s oldest history within its limits, as well as other tourist attractions. New England is a sight to behold in the fall. The trek is roughly 280 miles when starting in Trenton, so many vehicles can make it on a single tank.
Ocean City, Maryland
While the water will be cold, Ocean City still offers a lot for the weekend traveler. The city lies under 200 miles away, so you can make it there easily on a single tank. The scenery is magnificent in the fall, and the restaurants are second-to-none. An additional benefit is that hotel rooms are cheaper now during the fall. If you are an outdoorsmen, you can experience some excellent fishing as the fish runs come in from deeper waters.
Poconos, Pennsylvania
You can head 100 miles to the northwest and be in the spectacular Pocono Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. You’ll find yourself immersed in magnificent forests and surrounded by pristine lakes. The scenery is immaculate during the fall, making it a great destination.
Even if you are on a budget, and short on time, you can take a great trip with your Subaru this fall to some of the East Coast’s hottest destinations.
