The Subaru brand has virtually become synonymous with adventure and an active lifestyle. The spacious nature of their vehicles, combined with the sturdy construction and legendary AWD that comes standard, have allowed the Subaru fleet to achieve such recognition. Perhaps no Subaru vehicle embodies this more than the Outback.
The Subaru Outback has long been a staple both on and off the road. The versatile wagon has made its way into the hearts of many customers in the U.S. The Outback recently reached a groundbreaking milestone in sales. In early April, the two millionth Subaru Outback was sold in the U.S., marking a pinnacle moment in the vehicle’s 24-year history.
The milestone Outback was sold in Hawthorne, CA. at Subaru Pacific. The lucky buyer is named Andrew Simpson, and he was greeted with an array of gifts presented by representatives from both Subaru of America and Subaru Pacific. In addition to the gifts, a donation in Simpson’s honor was made to Grades of Green to mark the occasion.
Selling two million Outback vehicles shows the vehicle’s ever-increasing popularity. The company sold its one millionth Outback in 2011, and in less than seven years has sold another million. With a 24-year history, and ten years of increased sales, the Subaru Outback is only becoming more and more popular.
