In a rather turbulent automotive sales environment, Subaru of America has managed to thrive. While many companies are experiencing shrinking sales and challenging times, Subaru of America has only experienced growth. In fact, for the last ten years, the company has experienced continual growth. In 2017, SOA boasted an impressive 647,956 vehicles sold.

In the new year, SOA has made planes to further their fortunate success. These plans include altering the current executive lineup. The company’s current chairman and CEO, Tomomi Nakamura,  has been promoted to President of Subaru Corporation. Taking his place as Chief Executive Officer of SOA is Thomas J. Doll.

Doll is not without his experience with the company. He has held the positions of both President and Chief Operating Officer for several years. Previously, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. Doll has been with SOA for 36 years, and knows the company extensively from his career.

As the year progresses, and new management takes hold, SOA is confident about how it will perform. A decade of growth has helped to establish the company as a formidable force in the automotive community. The goal of the company is to continue that growth through 2018, which seems very possible, especially with the introduction of the new 3-row Ascent. SOA is pushing forward into a successful 2018.
