The all-new 2020 Subaru Legacy has recently earned a spot on Wards 10 Best User Experiences list for the fourth consecutive year! Specific features highlighted for the 2020 Legacy include intuitive and effective interior technologies like connectivity, infotainment, controls, and driver-assist features.
The 2020 Subaru Legacy joins fellow Subaru models Outback (2019), Ascent (2018), and Impreza (2017) as long-running members of Wards’ annual list.
WardsAuto is a leading automotive reporting and insights provider. For the fifth annual 10 Best UX Awards, the organization took an in-depth look at 18 different vehicles from all makes and models.
In order to decide who made the cut, an experienced team of editors paid specific attention to vehicles that included the most user-friendly technology and most enhanced the driver’s lifestyle and driving experience.
Thanks to Legacy’s incredible interface and on-board features like an all-new tablet style 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen, seamless smartphone integration, and voice-activated navigation system, Subaru’s awesome mid-size sedan made the cut.
Evaluators also took note of the all-new Legacy’s award-winning Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. This system uses two distinct rear-view mirror mounted cameras to detect oncoming obstacles, acting as a second pair of eyes for the driver.
The EyeSight suite of features now includes Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, which assists with centering the vehicle within the travel lane at highway speeds.
Another advanced feature on the 2020 Legacy is the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. This intelligent tech uses a dedicated camera and facial recognition software to identify signs of driver fatigue and distraction. The vehicle then provides audio and visual warnings to the entire cabin when it notices something isn’t right.
The latest Legacy is also available with other driver-assist technologies such as LED Steering Responsive Headlights, Reverse Automatic Braking, Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and an EyeSight Assist Monitor with heads-up display.
The 2020 Subaru Legacy is the only vehicle in its segment to feature all-wheel drive as standard equipment. The midsize sedan starts at $22,745 and is available in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, Limited XT and Touring XT models.
