Earlier this week, Subaru of America and the National Ski Patrol (NSP) announced that they have renewed their long-standing partnership for at least the next two years. Subaru is the official vehicle of the NSP, and 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of this tradition.

“NSP is thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with Subaru,” said National Ski Patrol Executive Director Meegan Moszynski. “Hitting the 25-year mark means that Subaru continues to support NSP as it evolves and grows, and we value that loyalty and longevity. NSP and its members believe in Subaru and its vehicles; just like a Subaru, this partnership has been top of the line with a consistent focus on safety.”

For the past three years, NSP and Subaru have collaborated on a specialized marketing partnership that utilizes a select group of ski patrollers from all across the nation to represent both brands as official NSP-Subaru Ambassadors.

These ambassadors represent four different faces of the brands including storytellers, social media influencers, summer/bike, and event/leadership. Together, these groups work to create brand awareness through digital media, print media, and event presence.

Each ambassador is equipped with a cutting-edge, reliable Subaru vehicle that comes with a custom NSP wrap, only 10 of which exist throughout the entirety of the United States.

This unique marketing partnership is brought to life through the sponsorship of several outdoor and adventure-focused programs including Wasatch Backcountry Rescue International Dog School, and Colorado Rapid Avalanche, two unique organizations that focus on training dogs in the act of emergency avalanche rescue.

In addition, the partnership also sponsors Subaru WinterFest, a series of events that promote winter sports and safety. After each event, Subaru donates $1 to the Subaru NSP Avalanche Rescue Dog Scholarship Fund for every Subaru information form received. At certain events, patrollers even stage avalanche demonstrations alongside their dogs.

“For 25 years, Subaru has relished working with National Ski Patrol on impactful initiatives that make the slopes a safer place to be,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. “We know our Subaru owners are devotees of winter sports, and through our ongoing work with NSP, are excited to continue bringing fun, safe initiatives to skiers across the country.”
