The documentary series Launch Control, an exclusive look into the USA Subaru Rally Team, will be returning for its tenth season this year. Launch Control has been the main source of coverage for the U.S. rally championships since its debut in 2013, and this year the award-winning series will be taking on an all-new format, delivering material to its audience faster and more frequently as well as covering topics in much greater depth.

“The mission of Launch Control has always been to give fans an inside look at what it takes to run a championship-winning rally team,” said William Stokes, Motorsports Manager for Subaru of America. “After the incredible championship finish to Season 9, we now have a great opportunity to tell totally new stories, including the clean-sheet development of new cars for rally and Gymkhana, and reimagining the series format will give our fans event coverage on a quicker turnaround along with delivering those in-depth projects they haven’t seen before.”

The new season of Launch Control, with its updated format, will be covering the 2022 Subaru Motorsports USA season within three subseries. One will be rally event coverage in the subseries Launch Control: Rally Rundown. One will be an all-new Launch Control: Next Stage miniseries focusing on the development of the next Subaru rally car, which will be based on the 2022 WRX. The last subseries will feature special episodes, including a new Road to Gymkhana special.

New episodes of Launch Control: Rally Rundown will feature the highlights of American Rally Association (ARA) events. This year the Subaru Motorsports USA team, including drivers Travis Pastrana and Brandon Semenuk, will be defending their 2021 championship win. Episodes featuring events from the first half of the 2022 rally season will be released on Wednesdays, starting in late July and running through to mid-August. More episodes will continue to drop as the season continues.

Special episodes about the team’s activities outside of rally competitions, as well as other one-off events and projects, can also be expected this season, such as the two-part Road to Gymkhana special, and the Launch Control: Next Stage miniseries will be available near the end of the year.

New episodes of Launch Control will be released on Subaru of America’s YouTube channel. Look for them on Wednesdays, starting on July 27!
