The editors at Car and Driver have selected the BRZ for their annual 10Best Cars list for the third consecutive year.
The BRZ was noted for its performance and value this year, especially among competitors who sat at a higher price range. “Manual, rear-drive, and engineered to delight, drivers looking for affordable performance need to look no further than the Subaru BRZ,” said Car and Driver Editor-in-Chief Tony Quiroga. Providing affordability and fun in the same package, it’s a proud moment for everyone at Subaru who worked on the latest generation of this iconic coupe.
Putting together the annual 10Best lists is no small feat for the editors at Car and Driver. With separate lists for cars and for trucks and SUVs and dozens of vehicles to choose from, a lot of hard work goes into finding the best of the best. Any vehicle that has been significantly updated for the new model year is an eligible nominee, and the 10Best winners from 2023 are immediately eligible as well. All cars considered for the list have to cost less than $110,000 in their base configuration, and must be on sale no later than January 31, 2024. The teams at Car and Driver spend a week driving every new vehicle that falls within those criteria and rating them on a scale of zero to one hundred. The highest and lowest votes are thrown out to achieve a fair average, and the remaining scores are calculated to identify who makes the cut to be considered the 10Best.
