Every year, Subaru releases its annual Corporate Impact Report, showing how they worked to uphold the Subaru Love Promise and spread goodness around to their customers, employees, environment, and community throughout the previous year. This year marks the fifth annual Corporate Impact Report, released with the details of the 2022 calendar year. This year’s report included details on the Subaru Loves Pets program, strides that Subaru has made towards becoming a 100% electric vehicle company by 2035, diversity and inclusivity efforts, and much more.
Subaru’s goal is to be “More Than a Car Company,” and the annual Corporate Impact Report reflects that driving force. Sharing the who, what, where, when, and why of the automaker’s efforts, it reflects a commitment to positively impact every individual who is touched by Subaru’s work, including shoppers, owners, retailers, partners, and everyone who lives in a community within the automaker’s reach.
“At Subaru we take it to heart when saying we are More Than a Car Company, and know it comes with the responsibility of living out our pledge with a commitment to improving the world around us,” said Jeff Walters, President and COO of Subaru of America, Inc.
Something that was unable to be included in this year’s report, since it was only recently announced, is that Points of Light has named Subaru to their list of 2023 Civic 50 Honorees. This is an award reserved for the 50 most community-minded companies in America. It’s Subaru’s third straight year receiving the recognition.
“We’d like to thank our retailers, employees, partners, and the entire Subaru family for helping us achieve and exceed our impact goals in 2022, as well as for providing the inspiration to accomplish even more together in the future,” said Tadashi Yoshida, Chairman and CEO of Subaru of America, Inc.
This year’s Corporate Impact Report also showed the automaker’s commitment to sustainability and protecting the natural ecosystem, detailing and showcasing how Subaru’s corporate actions throughout 2022 uphold the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
All in all, this year’s report, just like the ones that came before it, are a snapshot of the Subaru Love Promise, and how those commitments to the pillars of helping the earth, animals, and each other and upholding diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging are much more than just words to the people at Subaru. 2023 is sure to be another great year, with more important strides being made!
