Subaru of America is defined not only by selling excellent, reliable cars, but by a longtime commitment to philanthropy, good will, and making the world a better place. These efforts have been celebrated over the years with many different awards and recognitions, and the automaker just brought home three new prestigious honors demonstrating the effects of corporate citizenship and dedication to social impact through the Subaru Love Promise. The Subaru Loves Learning program was recognized with the 2023 Engage for Good Gold Halo Award for Best Education Initiative, and the company was also named a Civic 50 2023 Honoree for the third year in a row and ranked 16th among the most visible brands in America on the 2023 Axios Harris Poll 100 Reputation Rankings.

"These accolades highlight Subaru's ongoing efforts across the country to contribute meaningfully to the communities where we live and work," said Shira Haaz, Head of Corporate Responsibility. "We’re thankful to our partners, retailers, and of course our employees, for giving us the opportunity to progress alongside them as we work together to fulfill the Subaru Love Promise."

The Halo Awards are presented by Engage for Good and are meant to celebrate companies that use cause marketing and social impact programs to create a significant impact in the world. Receiving the 2023 Gold Halo Award for Best Education Initiative is a testament to Subaru’s efforts supporting education, through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org and the 2022 Subaru Loves Learning initiative, which saw Subaru and 621 participating retailers donating $3.3 million to 652 high-needs schools and 5,699 teachers across the country in 2022, as well as in-person events where Subaru retailers deliver supplies to local schools each year.

Making the top three automakers on the 2023 Axios Harris Poll 100 Reputation Rankings of the most visible brands in America was also a big win for Subaru in recent days. A trusted measure of the reputation of different companies, the Axios Harris Poll 100 indicates the organizations that resonate most with the American public, and Subaru’s high placement on the list is a major honor.

Subaru’s recognition as a Civic 50 Honoree also comes as a great honor, especially considering this is the third consecutive win for the automaker. The Civic 50 Award highlights the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States every year. The list has been a national standard for superior corporate citizenship since it was established in 2012, and Subaru’s multiple wins are something that places the company in high esteem among its peers.

“We’re incredibly honored by these recognitions and awards as we continue our work to be More Than a Car Company,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc. “For years, on both a national and local level, our employees, retailers, and charitable partners have helped communities across the country by supporting the causes and issues that impact them most. Acknowledgements like these are a great reminder of the importance of continuing this work together.”
