Hipcamp is the world’s leading campsite booking company, a service that is familiar to a great many adventurous Subaru drivers. This summer, Subaru of America has partnered up with the company to launch a valuable resource for travelers with electric vehicles– an EV-specific road trip guide! This guide lays out 10 electric-vehicle ready road trips across the United States, allowing drivers to enjoy their travels with specialized advice for their specific needs.
The Hipcamp and Subaru road trip guides will feature information to suit the demands of any road tripper, from easy access EV charging to pet-friendly and family-friendly accommodations along the designated trips across the country. It will allow campers to not only find camping locations that will offer them the details they need, but will also bring them along classic routes like Route 66, Texas’s Chihuahuan Desert, and the California coast, with the option to take in the entire drive or experience the trip in shorter segments. Hipcamp’s community of hosts is constantly expanding, and as American EV infrastructure expands as well, the platform is becoming more and more valuable for travelers in electric cars, with more than 80% of Hipcamp sites now located near publicly accessible EV stations. Hipcamp even provides a charging station map layer to help drivers plan their stops.
“Our mission at Hipcamp is to get more people outside,” said Alyssa Ravasio, Hipcamp Founder and CEO. “With our new collection of routes that prioritize EV-charging opportunities, we hope to make it simpler than ever to plan your next outdoor adventure. We are here to make your camp experience all the better, and have shared some of our top points of interest and national parks.”
