Hurricanes Helene and Milton have devastated the Southeastern United States in recent weeks, but they have also brought huge groups of people together in order to provide help and hurricane relief efforts. Subaru is a proud part of those ranks, working with existing national partners to aid in recovery programs! The automaker is offering nonprofit donations and employee matching contributions to Meals on Wheels America, Feeding America, the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the American Red Cross, and World Central Kitchen, as well as customer financial relief in communities recovering from the storms.
Subaru is a long-standing partner of Meals on Wheels America and the organization’s largest automotive donor. The company will be donating $100,000 to the national leadership organization’s Emergency Response Fund to help home-delivered meals for seniors continue during the emergency. Subaru is also the ASPCA’s largest corporate donor, and is contributing $50,000 to support an emergency shelter in North Carolina for animals displaced in the storms and to work to reunite those pets with their families.
Dozens of participating Subaru retailers have also come together to contribute up to $400,000 in matching funds to Feeding America, supporting food banks in affected communities. The automaker is also offering $500 toward the lease or purchase of a new 2024 or 2025 Subaru vehicle for those whose cars were damaged or lost in the hurricanes, a program available to residents in FEMA-designated disaster areas in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia counties. The company has even launched a 2:1 employee matching donation program to benefit the American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen, donating $2 for every $1 donated by employees up to $30,000.
