Subaru of America, Inc. has announced a new milestone in its long-standing commitment to community giving. The 2024 Subaru Share the Love® Event generated a record-breaking $31.7 million in donations, marking the largest contribution total in the event’s 17-year history.
 

Since its launch in 2008, the Subaru Share the Love Event has become a cornerstone of the automaker’s mission to be More Than a Car Company®. Over the years, the initiative has raised nearly $320 million, benefiting both national nonprofit partners and hundreds of local organizations across the country.

 

Held annually during the final weeks of the year and through the holiday season, the 2024 event ran from November 21, 2024, to January 2, 2025. During this period, Subaru donated a minimum of $300 for every new vehicle purchased or leased at participating retailers nationwide. Buyers were given the opportunity to direct their donation to one of four national charity partners or to a local “hometown charity” selected by their retailer.

 

The impact at the local level was especially significant. Of the total amount raised, over $23 million went to more than 830 hometown charities, reinforcing Subaru's commitment to supporting the neighborhoods where their customers and employees live and work. National organizations also received substantial contributions, with more than $8 million distributed among four long-standing partners: the ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation.
