The 2025 Editors’ Choice List from Car and Driver has just recently been released, and Subaru had the honor to be recognized three separate times on the list, with the 2025 Subaru BRZ winning for Best Affordable Sports Car, the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek winning for Bes Compact SUV, and the 2025 Subaru Outback winning for Best Station Wagon.

Expert car reviewers at Car and Driver evaluate, rank, and rate almost 500 cars across 45 market segments to choose the award winners each year. A broad swathe of criteria is used to make the list, including the results of Car and Driver's industry-leading, rigorous instrumented testing, reviewers' subjective assessments of each vehicle's performance, and the ranking each vehicle receives within its market segment compared to its competitors for the model year.

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek, Subaru’s best-selling SUV, was recognized for its updated exterior and interior designs, high-quality ride and handling, safety features, and infotainment technology. The 2025 Outback, meanwhile, received acclaim for its seamless combination of SUV capability and car-like ride and handling. Being recognized not only for three different cars, but for such a broad range of vehicle types and capabilities, is an even bigger win for Subaru.
