This October, Subaru is once again proving that love extends far beyond the road. Through its Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, Subaru of America and participating retailers nationwide are committing over $3.1 million to support animal shelters and help pets find their forever homes. The grants, administered through the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), will fund everything from adoption events to critical veterinary care for shelter animals.
Here in Robbinsville, Haldeman Subaru is proud to be part of this heartwarming national effort — and we’re taking it a step further by partnering with the Pet Rescue of Mercer County to make a local impact. Together, we’ll be hosting an adoption event on October 25th from 10am-1pm to connect loving families with pets in need right here in our community.
Our goal is simple: to help more dogs and cats find safe, happy, and loving homes. Those interested in participating can meet adoptable pets from the Pet Rescue of Mercer County, learn about volunteer opportunities, and support local rescue initiatives. Whether you’re ready to adopt or simply want to support a great cause, this event is the perfect way to make a difference.
This initiative also ties into Subaru’s National Make a Dog’s Day celebration on October 22, an annual tradition that encourages everyone to do something special for their pets — and to consider adopting or fostering a shelter “Underdog.” These are dogs that are often overlooked because they’re older, shy, or have special needs — yet they have just as much love to give.
Since 2008, Subaru and its retailers have donated over $70 million to support animal welfare organizations, helping more than 700,000 pets find homes or receive life-saving care. This year’s campaign continues that legacy of compassion — one adoption, one shelter, and one wagging tail at a time.
At Haldeman Subaru, we believe that love is best shared — and that includes our four-legged friends. By teaming up with Subaru and Pet Rescue of Mercer County, we’re helping make October a month of hope, compassion, and new beginnings for pets and families alike.
Let’s make a dog’s day — and maybe yours, too.
