Subaru of America, Inc. revealed on Wednesday that Tau Jeppesen, Senior Master Service Technician at Larry H. Miller Subaru located in Boise, ID, won the official 2021 American National Technician Competition (ANTC). The Subaru ANTC is a twice-yearly competition that honors Subaru technicians across the United States by exhibiting their troubleshooting skills, product awareness, technical experience, and hands-on know-how.

Subaru of America was recently honored as the first-ever winner of the Corporate Compassion Award from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). The Award is designed to recognize the auto company's active dedication and efforts to protect and support pets across the United States. Subaru and other 2021 ASPCA Humane Award winners will be celebrated at the virtual Humane Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021. 

Earlier this month, Subaru America was proud to announce that it has been named a 2021 Civic 50 Honoree in recognition of its considerable corporate citizenship efforts. This distinction, which is awarded by Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, is another example of the automaker’s leadership in corporate impact.

To date, Subaru’s dedicated pet-focused efforts have led to the adoption and support of over $250,000 shelter pets to date. In last year alone, a year dominated by stress and difficult adaptations for all walks of life, the Subaru Loves Pets initiative successfully found loving homes for more than 20,000 animals in need.

Earlier this month, Subaru of America announced that it would renew its commitment to divert hard-to-recycle waste from landfills and incinerators in addition to continuing its partnership with international recycling leader, TerraCycle®. 

2021 marks the fourth consecutive year of the successful recycling program, which has recently reached a major milestone, having recycled over 5 million disposable cups, lids, coffee, tea, and creamer capsules, and snack wrappers.

This past week, Subaru of America Inc. announced that it had enrolled the one-millionth customer into its SUBARU STARLINK™ Connected Services program, which ensures ultimate peace and confidence with every Subaru drive.

Earlier this month, eight-year-old Antonio of Camden, NJ was given a Subaru-aided surprise of a lifetime: a personal fleet of Subaru vehicles (led by a Camden County Police escort) packed with holiday gifts from his personal wish list arrived at his front door.

As part of this month’s awareness event, Subaru of America has recently announced that it will donate 50,000 blankets to homeless shelters across the country, something that becomes essential to the survival of many as the temperatures begin to drop throughout many parts of the country.

Earlier this week, Subaru of America and the National Ski Patrol (NSP) announced that they have renewed their long-standing partnership for at least the next two years. Subaru is the official vehicle of the NSP, and 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of this tradition.
